Gordon Maxwell

Gordon Maxwell attended Lynn University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and his MBA in sports management. While in graduate school, he was the video coach of the Lynn University Fighting Knights men’s lacrosse team from 2016-18. Gordon in an exceptional motivator that brings excitement to his team’s activities and accomplishes undeniable results.

Gordon has been around rinks his entire life. He started his coaching career in northern Michigan under the guidance of NHL veteran Craig Coxe. He was the assistant coach for the Cheboygan Chiefs for nine summers.

Maxwell then went on to become an associate coach for the Florida Junior Panthers’ U14 and U16 programs for the 2017-19 seasons. Gordon was the Assistant Coach for the Barwis Dragons/Florida Fury from 2019-22 and won a state championship for the Florida Fury U10 team in 2022.

Over the years, Gordon has been mentored by NHL legends such as Dougie Weight, Garth Snow, Rene Chapdelaine, Travis Hamonic, and Nick Bjugstad, just to name a few.

In his free time, he is the host of “2 Minutes in the Box with Gordo” on Instagram. He enjoys golf, boating, and hanging out on the beach.
